My passion is for art, the arts and crafts movement and country house interiors. I source items that are made from good quality materials, well made, attractive and will last many generations and occasionally with assistance from professional restorers help items return to the state they were when first made. My father and Grandfather were antique dealers and after leaving the RN in 1984 I had four years in the 1980's as a full time antique dealer then spent decades working for others gazing out of windows with the hope of returning to the antique business and finally started Graham Deakin Antiques at the end of 2024.

This oil on canvas painting titled "Busy Terrace with the Arc de Triomphe" by George Gerbier, created between 1906 and 1983, dates to the mid 20th century. The artwork features a depiction of the Arc de Triomphe, rendered in the artist's distinctive style. Last sold in Christie's London in 2010 and all in original good condition with wear to the frame.
