My passion is for art, the arts and crafts movement and country house interiors. I source items that are made from good quality materials, well made, attractive and will last many generations and occasionally with assistance from professional restorers help items return to the state they were when first made. My father and Grandfather were antique dealers and after leaving the RN in 1984 I had four years in the 1980's as a full time antique dealer then spent decades working for others gazing out of windows with the hope of returning to the antique business and finally started Graham Deakin Antiques at the end of 2024.

This Regency gilt bevelled overmantle dates to approximately 1820. It features a rectangular shape with a shaped bevelled mirror surrounded by an ornate gilt frame. The design reflects the stylistic elements characteristic of the Regency period, including intricate detailing and a polished finish. The overmantle is suitable for display above a fireplace or as an accent piece in a historical interior setting. In good condition with original plate mirror.
