Item Details
This Victorian rosewood parlour chair dates to approximately 1850. It features a robust rosewood frame with intricate carvings typical of the period. The chair is upholstered in period-appropriate fabric with age related wear and worn braiding round the harp tapestry on the back and a slight scratch on the top rail. The side supports are particularly interesting with both sides twisted from top to bottom and a rare feature on chairs. The front two castors are similar to ones used by Howard and sons and all in good original condition.
